Below you can see some mixed photos from our premises and the surroundings just outside Länsmansgården and in Björbo.
In Länsmansgården's premises there is a pet shop, a pub that can be rented for celebrations with both large and small groups. Sometimes we have a pub night with a live band.
On the other side of the village street, the river slowly flows by, there we have our jetty with a barbecue area that you can borrow as a guest with us. Borrow the sauna and take a lovely fresh dip in the river, which during the summer gets really warm and really invites you to a nice swim.
Right next to Länsmansgården there is a nice outdoor pool that is open all summer and is completely free of charge with fresh changing rooms that are equipped with hot water showers and toilets.
Björbo ice hall is a short walk away and is also open to the public during the summer months.
During the winter there is thick ice on the river that you can stay on and if the ice road is plowed you can go skating, cross-country skiing or take long lovely winter walks in sparkling sunshine and crisp winter.
A few kilometers away is the electric light track that can be used for running training or walking. From the electric light track, several paths lead out into the surrounding forest where you can hike and enjoy nature.
At Stora Byrtjärnen and Glasögontjärn, who are accessible from the trails, there are shelters from the wind where you can borrow the fireplace and grill or why not try your luck fishing for fine rainbow trout in one of the lakes. On the ridge there is a nice lookout tower with a beautiful view over Björbo and all the way to Dala-Floda and Nås and its surroundings. Further up the ridge, you can also visit the Kaplakojan, a hut, where you can spend the night, there are heating facilities and bunks to put sleeping bags on as well as a substantial table with benches. The forest around Kaplakojan is in some places real virgin forest with fantastic giant pines, that alone is clearly worth a visit. On the ridge you can spend a couple of days hiking around and just enjoying the wilderness.

Around Björbo there are many variant waters, everything from large lakes to small forest ponds and of course the river Västerdalälven.
If you want to fish for perch, you can find it in almost all waters, as well as pike and a variety of carp fish such as roach, bream, bream, id. In some ponds, there are also precious fish that are released at regular intervals.
In Stora Byrtjärn and Glasögontjärn, rainbow trout are released at regular intervals. In Glasögontjärnen only fly fishing is allowed, but in the winter when the ice has settled you can also go ice-fishing for rainbow trout, while in Byrtjärnen you are allowed to fish with any sport fishing gear all year round. At both ponds there are nice wind-shelters with fireplaces where you can bring your own fire-wood for grilling sausages, barbecue etc.
In Västerdalälven there are two large rapids around Björbo, Fänforsen and Käringforsen where you can fish for grayling and with a little luck even catch a trout. In order to fish, a special fishing license is required, which can be redeemed via the internet.
